L’attesa è finita: manca meno di un mese agli American Music Awards e le nomination sono finalmente arrivate. Post Malone è in testa alla lista con sette nomination. Seguono Ariana Grande e la new entry Billie Eilish con sei candidature a testa. La Eilish è pronta per essere la New Artist of the Year, in competizione con Luke Combs, Lil Nas X, Lizzo ed Ella Mai.
Post Malone e Ariana Grande sono entrambi nominati per uno dei premi più ambiti: Artist of the Year, insieme a Halsey, Drake e Taylor Swift, che detiene il maggior numero di vittorie (quattro) nella categoria. Ma non è finita qui: la pop star potrebbe continuare e superare il record di Michael Jackson per il maggior numero di vittorie agli AMA di tutti i tempi. Tutto questo accadrà solo se vincerà in due delle cinque categorie in cui è nominata.
Le votazioni per tutte le categorie sono aperte sul sito ufficiale degli American Music Awards e si chiuderanno il 20 novembre. Gli AMAs 2019 saranno poi trasmessi in diretta dal Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles il 24 novembre.
