Il Record Store Day-Black Friday ha aiutato molto la vendita dei vinili in USA

Le promozioni del Black Friday in occasione del Record Store Day del 29 novembre hanno contribuito a generare un’altra grande vittoria per le vendite dei vinili. E hanno portato alla più importante settimana di vendite complessive per gli album nel 2019. Lo riferisce Nielsen Music.

La società di tracciamento dei dati riferisce che – durante la settimana che va dal 29 novembre al 5 dicembre – sono stati venduti negli USA 855mila album in vinile. È la terza settimana di vendite più importante in assoluto per i vinili da quando Nielsen Music ha iniziato a monitorare le vendite nel 1991. Le uniche due settimane con maggiori vendite sono state quella  terminata il 20 dicembre 2018 (880mila) e quella terminata il 27 dicembre 2018 (905mila).

Inoltre, le frizzanti vendite dei vinili intorno al Black Friday hanno contribuito a produrre un raggio complessivo di 2.819.000 album venduti in tutti i formati (vinile, CD, download, cassette, ecc.): è stata la settimana di vendite più importante per gli album nel 2019. L’ultima settimana che ha generato un numero più alto di vendite complessive di album è stata quella terminata il 27 dicembre 2018, quando sono stati venduti in totale 4.391.000 album.

L’album più venduto in occasione del Black Friday del Record Store Day nei negozi negli Stati Uniti nella settimana conclusasi il 5 dicembre è stato il debutto tra i vinili dell’MTV Unplugged del 1992 dei Pearl Jam. Il set di sette canzoni ha venduto 10mila copie complessive. Ecco le classifiche di album e singoli.
