Meet Nadiem, a Musician with an Entrepreneurial Mind Blending Cultures

Connecting cultures may seem like a divide too wide to cross with music. But for Cleveland-born artist Nadiem, cultural differences are a creative advantage. The Italian and Palestinian-Arab musician blends the sounds and visuals of his heritage to create an image all his own.

Cross-Cultural Upbringing

Nadiem Musleh, known by his artist moniker Nadiem, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He was raised by his Italian mother and Palestinian father.

Home became Nadiem’s first example of cultural exploration as his family shared religion and customs that were significant to them. These perspectives have had a long-lasting influence on the way Nadiem presents as an artist.

Nadiem’s curiosity continued throughout his adulthood and ran deeper, into psychology. He studied music production and psychology because he became fascinated by how a simple three-minute song could make a room full of people feel the same emotion.

Music’s storytelling abilities pushed him to pursue songwriting and production, so Nadiem could capture that shared moment for audiences worldwide.

The Sound of Cultural Exploration

In his music, Nadiem combines hip-hop and pop with Italian, Arabic, and Spanish influences. Sonically, the music resonates with his background, but it also appeals to cross-border audiences. Lyrically, he explores themes of ambition, identity, love, and the emotional struggles behind success.

His song, “La Bella Figura,” mixes hip-hop, Italian and English lyrics, with a catchy pop chorus. It captures Nadiem’s expression of identity and tells the story of two people experiencing attraction.

The story is told from the perspective of someone who believes their decision may be a bad one but is determined to pursue it anyway. Nadiem is credited as a producer and lyricist, along with Sharif from Urworld Studios.

Nadiem’s upcoming release, “La Dolce Vita,” also carries an Italian title and marks a lasting shift in his music career as he steps once again into his Italian heritage.

More Than a Music Artist

Music is a form of self-expression and a connector for Nadiem’s global audience, but fashion presents a path for him to build a strong foundation as an artist.

Nadiem thinks like an entrepreneur. He built a clothing brand, Exception, founded around longevity. With it, he wants to be more than a musician pursuing individual hits; his goal is to cement himself in the industry as an artist with more than one path, an extension of his multicultural heritage.

Nadiem is a musician connecting cultures from the time of his birth. Now, as a professional, he brings together those cultures in music and uses that foundation to expand his brand.

What’s Next for Nadiem?

Nadiem remains focused on building on the momentum he has already established. “I’m staying on the gas right now,” he says. “As I continue advancing my career, I want to keep building my community so they can grow with me.”

He showcases a commitment to gradual progress in his music, pursuing a long-term career rather than overnight success. Currently, Nadiem is preparing to headline another European tour and release more music.
