Photo of Alfa Nominated at the Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards
A picture taken during a concert of the Italian singer in Florence in 2022 entered the category “Music Moment of the Year”
When Lorenzo Reali took this picture at Alfa’s concert in Florence on July 6th, 2022, he probably couldn’t imagine that it would achieve such a success. The photo is now nominated in the category “Music Moment of the Year” at the Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards. Other artists of that category include Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Idles and Stormzy & Dave.
The picture portrays Alfa kissing his guitar among the audience. On that occasion, the Italian singer was trying to beat the Kiss World Record, inviting all 2000 spectators to kiss at the same time. The photo immortalizes the feeling of union and sharing that should exist at every concert.
About the Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards
The Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards are a photography contest organized by London’s historic recording studio. Their goal is to promote and celebrate the best musical moments of the year and the photographers who captured them.
The contest is global and includes various categories. This year, a category celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of hip hop was also included. Among other sections, there is “Music Moment of the Year”, for which Lorenzo Reali is nominated with his photo of Alfa.
The prize in case of victory is a week in the exclusive Now Pop Two space on the famous Outernet screens. The goal is to present an exclusive exhibition in the heart of central London, taking place in January 2024.
Among the winners of the last edition is the photographer Joe Puxley with his portrait of the English singer-songwriter Arlo Parks. Our hope is that Lorenzo will be there next year.
