Taylor Swift domina i Billboard Music Awards 2023: tutte le nomination

Taylor Swift è ufficialmente la protagonista dei Billboard Music Awards 2023 che si terranno domenica 19 novembre. La popstar è candidata in 20 categorie e, avendo già vinto 29 BBMA, è la donna più premiata di sempre. Allo show del mese prossimo, che sarà presentato da Marriot Bonvoy, Taylor potrebbe superare Drake e diventare l’artista con più premi in assoluto. Il rapper è a quota 34 BBMA e quest’anno ha ottenuto 14 nomination.

Nella speciale classifica delle candidature, al secondo posto ci sono Morgan Wallen e SZA con 17 nomination. Seguono The Weeknd (16), Drake e Zach Bryan (14), Luke Combs (10) e 21 Savage, Metro Boomin e Miley Cyrus (9). Tra i candidati ci sono anche Beyoncé e Rema, in lizza per sette premi, Bad Bunny e Peso Pluma con sei e Ariana Grande, David Guetta, Eslabon Armado, Karol G, NewJeans e Selena Gomez con cinque.

I Billboard Music Awards 2023 offriranno un inedito esempio di show di premiazione che intratterrà i fan con musica e contenuti esclusivi: celebrazioni dei vincitori, momenti dietro le quinte e performance create ad hoc dai più grandi artisti del mondo. In una collaborazione unica nel suo genere, i BBMA e Spotify Fans First permetteranno ai fan più fortunati di conoscere da vicino i loro artisti preferiti.

Le esibizioni e i premi saranno diffusi sui canali sociali dei BBMA e di Billboard US, oltre che su BBMAs.watch, domenica 19 novembre. Gli artisti che si esibiranno durante i Billboard Music Awards saranno rivelati ogni giorno sui canali social, a partire da lunedì 6 novembre.

Le nuove categorie dei Billboard Music Awards 2023: K-pop e Afrobeats

Quest’anno i Billboard Musisc Awards introducono 9 categorie inedite e ben quattro sono dedicate al mondo del K-pop fortemente in ascesa, sia negli Stati Uniti che a livello globale. Si tratta dei premi per top global K-pop artist, top K-pop tour, top K-pop album e top global K-pop song. Altri due nuovi premi sono stati introdotti per l’ambito dell’Afrobeats: top Afrobeats artist e top Afrobeats song.

Nell’ultimo anno molte competizioni hanno aggiunto delle categorie che riconoscono la musica africana. Wizkid è stato il vincitore inaugurale del premio Miglior artista afrobeats agli American Music Awards nel novembre 2022. Calm Down di Rema e Selena Gomez è stato, invece, il vincitore inaugurale del premio per il miglior brano afrobeats agli MTV Video Awards del mese scorso. Le nomination per il primo Grammy Award per la migliore performance musicale africana saranno rivelate il prossimo 10 novembre.

Le altre categorie inedite dei Billboard Music Awards 2023

I Billboard Music Awards 2023 aggiungono anche le due nuove categorie per il miglior autore di canzoni della Hot 100 e il miglior produttore della Hot 100. Swift e il suo fido collaboratore Jack Antonoff sono tra i finalisti di entrambe le categorie. Lo show aggiungerà anche un nuovo premio per il miglior duo/gruppo rock. L’anno scorso, invece, le categorie rock erano due: miglior artista rock e miglior tour rock.

Il country, il latin e il rock sono gli unici generi ad avere una categoria per il miglior duo/gruppo. Di conseguenza, le prime due hanno sette categorie, una in più rispetto all’R&B e al rap, che ne hanno sei ciascuno.
